Announcement: Dunkley Street Surgery
In February 2017, we informed patients of our decision to apply for the closure of the surgery in Dunkley Street. We have now received a response from CCG and NHS England, who have formally approved our application to close Dunkley Street surgery. We understand that this news will be very concerning for some patients, but we would like to offer assurances that patients will be supported through this transition.
We would like to make it very clear that patients at Dunkley Street will not be required to leave our practice list. After the closure, all patients who currently attend our Dunkley Street site would be welcome to attend either our Prestwood Road West or Hellier Road, Bushbury surgeries, whichever is their preferred choice. There will be no need to complete new registration forms if patients intend to remain with the practice.
The planned date of closure is 31st December 2017. The last clinical session will be held on Thursday 30th November 2017. In the meantime, the surgery will operate as normal and the services provided will not change in any way. Patients will continue to make and attend appointments in the usual way. Patient views are very important to us and you can do this by sending your comments via the practice website on www.prestburymedicalpractice.co.uk. Please click onto the “Contact Details” tab and scroll down to “Send us your comments and suggestions” section. Alternatively, please take a Comments and Complaints leaflet from the reception area.
